Lindum-Petuaria was a Roman auxiliary fort and settlement established during the reign of Vespasian as part of the conquest of northern Britain. Situated on the Humber Estuary in what is now the East Riding of Yorkshire, the site commanded a critical waterway for military supply and civilian trade.
